Chemisto is a collaborative effort of pharmaceutical product distributors to build a Software-as-a-Service platform for wholesale pharmaceutical distribution. It connects medical stores directly with distributors, replacing fragmented, phone-and-paper ordering with a searchable, trackable digital marketplace.

The Challenge
Wholesale pharmaceutical distribution involves many distributors serving many medical stores, each with their own inventory, pricing, and existing software. Any platform had to accommodate distributors already running their own systems (via API integration), support multiple stores per account, and route orders intelligently without creating a bottleneck for either side.

How It Works
When a medical store places an order, Chemisto's intelligent distribution engine looks at product category and current inventory across distributors, then automatically assigns - or splits - the order to the distributors best positioned to fulfill it, publishing orders on a timeslot basis to keep fulfillment predictable. Sales personnel can place orders on behalf of stores through a dedicated app, while distributors manage everything from registration to bulk inventory updates through their own console.
The Outcome
Chemisto now runs 12 tenant networks, each with 10 or more distributors, processing over 6,000 orders and 80,000 product searches every single day. What began as a collaborative idea among distributors is now a full multi-tenant SaaS business with its own recurring order volume and platform economics.
